OK, I know we had something similar a while back but 'China 9, Liberty 37' appears on every westerns collection ever put out by Mill Creek et al. Is this because of Gatt restoration? Loads of collections with it in are currently available on amazon.

Why are there still European films that are considered PD? Quite a few of the titles on the list you posted on another thread, (including 'House by the Cemetary - my second favourite Fulci film), are italian in origin.

So how can I determine whether any European films are PD or not?

Yes its GATT registered in the Warner catalogue.

The list I put up was based on my old master movies list which was pre-GATT I was trying to remove things as I checked. I also missed House by the Cemetery, Fangs of the Living Dead and a couple of others which have now been taken off the list.

Some foreign films don't qualify for GATT if they were first published in the USA, etc. But generally DVD companies still use a lot of foreign films because no one follows up the copyright. There are loads of "orphaned" foreign films that were restored by GATT.

OK, thanks. One last question; Films like 'Unsane' and 'Creepers' (both on a Mill Creek set) are both very different cuts with different titles to the originals ('Tenebrae' and 'Phenomena'). They were both only released in this re-edited, retitled form in the US (except UK where we got an even more censored version of 'Creepers').

Where do they fit in? Are they PD or not?
